Julia Zarankin-award-winning writer, birder, lecturer, cultural tour guided – Birding Hike (2:30 p.m.) – May 4

Julia Zarankin is a Toronto-based award-winning writer, birder, lecturer, cultural tour guide and Canadian Ambassador for ZEISS Sports Optics. Her memoir, Field Notes from an Unintentional Birder, is a Canadian bestseller and her writing has been featured in Audubon, Sierra, Cottage Life, Canadian Geographic, The Walrus, and The Globe and Mail. When not hanging out with a spotting scope at sewage lagoons in hopes of getting a better handle on shorebirds, Julia lectures to lifelong learners in and around Toronto.

HIKE – 2:30 pm – $40/ person – Registration is required

PRESENTATION – 1:00 pm with book signing to follow – Registration is NOT required and fee is included with park admission

Parking: Parking spaces near the Visitor Centre fill up quickly. We suggest arriving to the park at least 1 hour before your scheduled hike. You may be required to walk up to 2kms to reach the Visitor Centre.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to the hike start time in order to receive a partial refund of $35/person (cost of hike less a $5 administration fee). Please contact 519-326-6173 if you need to cancel your registration.
